Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

Homeroom (the "App") is published by Parent-AI LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Washington, United States ("Parent-AI LLC," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

The Service

Homeroom is a family organizer. A parent creates a household, invites the other parent, and adds children. The household then shares a family board, chores and jobs with a weekly payday, goals and habits, and a weekly family meeting. The App is free.

Accounts and Households

Parents sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In and are responsible for the household they create, including the profiles they create for children and the claim codes and invite links they share. Keep those codes and links private; anyone who has one can join your household. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Children

Children use Homeroom only through a profile that a parent created and controls. A parent who adds a child to a household confirms that they are that child's parent or legal guardian and consents to the child's use of the App as described in our Privacy Policy. Parents can remove a child's profile or delete the household at any time.

Allowance and Payday Are Bookkeeping Only

The App's chores, jobs, allowance, and payday features keep a record of what a family has agreed to and what is owed. The App does not hold, move, or process money. Any actual payment between a parent and a child happens outside the App, however the family chooses. We are not a bank, a payment service, or a financial advisor, and nothing in the App is financial advice.

Assistant Features

Some features use an AI model to suggest how to organize a captured thought or to prepare a short brief for the family meeting. These suggestions are generated automatically, may be wrong or incomplete, and are always shown to a person before anything changes. You are responsible for the decisions your family makes.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Your Content

You own the content your family enters into the App. You grant us the limited license needed to store it, sync it among your household's members, and show it back to you, including through the assistant features and any connectors you choose to enable. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising.

License

Unless we present you with a different agreement, the App is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms are supplementary service terms that apply alongside it. If they conflict on the scope of your license to use the App, that license agreement controls.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Parent-AI LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Termination

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to let you export or delete your data first.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Parent-AI LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Parent-AI LLC only, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the App. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
